WCU Signs Softball Player from Raleigh High School

William Carey University recently signed Raleigh High School standout Lauren Little to play for the Lady Crusaders softball team. Little is the first recruit signed by the Lady Crusaders for the 2012-2013 recruiting class.
Little, a 5”10 All-State first baseman, posted impressive numbers during her junior season, hitting 608 with five homeruns, six triples, seven doubles and 40 runs batted in (RBIs). She spends her summers playing travel softball with the Mississippi Elite program.
“We are very excited to have Lauren as our first signee for the 2012 recruiting class,” said Wendy Hogue, head softball coach at WCU. “She will be an excellent representative of our program and the university on the field, in the classroom, and in the community, as well.”
