William Carey University Theatre presents an original comedy-fantasy, “Legality of a Kiss,” written by senior English major Corinne Fraley of Roslyn, Penn. As a matter of fact, the play is entirely written, directed, designed, and acted by students.
It will be performed April 27-29 at 7:30 p.m. in Joe & Virginia Tatum Theatre on WCU’s Hattiesburg campus.
“Legality of a Kiss” is the tale of a knight in shining armor presented with a dilemma – whether to kiss, or not to kiss, a sleeping princess cursed by a witch. After all, she’s asleep and can’t give consent. Fraley has taken the traditional “once upon a time” story with princes, princesses, castles, and romantic adventure and complicated matters by involving a legal system and political correctness. In this world, fire-breathing dragons are not the only problem.
