William Carey University music therapy students are serving patients during medical practicums at Forrest General Hospital. In areas from palliative care to hospice care, music therapy students like Brittanie Harrow of Ocean Springs, left, and Anna Womack of Madison perform music chosen by patients to address pain, anxiety, agitation, coping, grieving, spiritual and end-of-life needs.
The practicums are part of a larger community outreach that also includes nursing homes and schools.
