Healthcare Administration & Education
The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Healthcare Administration & Education is designed for individuals with an associate degree in a health-related field who seek to advance their education while making a meaningful impact. Grounded in service and leadership, the program offers two focus tracks—Administration or Education—allowing students to align their academic path with their personal calling.

This program offers an online delivery method for didactic courses with face-to-face practicum experiences in healthcare agencies in their state of residency.
Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
Prospective Students must:
- Submit a completed undergraduate application to William Carey University
- Hold an associate’s degree in a health-related field, be registered or licensed in a health-related field, be certified, OR have an associate’s equivalent in a non-health field.
- Submit the completed and notarized criminal background check affidavit

Career Outlooks
The Administration track prepares graduates for entry-level healthcare management positions, emphasizing core business skills such as finance, marketing, strategic planning, and human resource management. The Education track prepares healthcare professionals for teaching roles at the certificate and associate degree levels through training in curriculum design, instructional methods, and student assessment.
Graduate Outcomes
Upon degree completion, the HAE BS graduate will be able to:
- Utilize written, verbal, and digital modalities to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse populations and improve operational efficiency in healthcare and educational settings.
- Examine current research and data to identify evidence-based practices and promote quality outcomes.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within interprofessional healthcare teams, applying cultural awareness, knowledge of healthcare policies and ethical decision-making in the healthcare environment.
- Explore principles of healthcare administration or healthcare education and healthcare systems to support effective decision-making in diverse healthcare settings.
- Demonstrate leadership principles emphasizing integrity, compassion, and Christian values in healthcare administration or healthcare education practices.
