Healthcare Administration
The Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program at William Carey University prepares students to serve as effective change agents in today’s complex healthcare environment. Through a focused curriculum in leadership, healthcare policy, finance, and organizational management, students develop the skills needed to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes. The program includes a practicum and a research-based capstone project, providing students with practical, applied learning opportunities. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles across diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, health systems, community health organizations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.

This program offers an online delivery method for didactic courses with face-to-face practicum experiences in healthcare agencies in their state of residency.
Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
In addition to the general admission requirements to the graduate school, each prospective student for the MHA program must:
- Submit a completed application to William Carey University graduate school.
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
- Submit a statement of professional goals, 1-2 pages.
- Submit a current resume.
- Submit two letters of reference (the reference form will be emailed to the references entered in the online application).
- Submit the completed and notarized criminal background check affidavit.
- Have a clear criminal background check that meets program requirements.
- Hold a baccalaureate degree, or its equivalent, from a nationally accredited school
- Have an overall undergraduate GPA > 2.75.
- Be eligible to re-enter any previously attended college or university in good standing. If previously enrolled in a master's program, the applicant must provide a letter of good standing from the program.
