William Carey is a community of learners which seeks to blend faith and learning with living. Within this nurturing and challenging environment, students prepare to fulfill their diverse callings in the larger global community.
All our programs offer multiple types of learning. Our Health Sciences programs offer many hands-on learning experiences, while our ministry programs connect students to internships with local and international partners. Many of our programs also offer research experience.
Carey has one of the lowest rates for room and board of all universities in Mississippi. Many universities offer “low tuition” and add hidden fees with the cost of textbooks and room and board. At Carey, you see all your costs from the beginning, including FREE textbooks.
Our mission is to provide each student with a quality education that challenges them to excel in knowledge, leadership, and service in a caring community. We are committed to putting you in the best position for the future.
We offer health-related resources for all our students. Our Student Counseling Center provides confidential therapy to all students at no cost.
In addition to mental health counseling, we also have our Student Health Clinic on the main campus, which offers healthcare to students and staff.
Students of all backgrounds are welcome at William Carey. Our administration is dedicated to creating a campus culture where everyone is treated with kindness, grace, and respect. Carey has over 230 international students from 60 countries, making our campus a melting pot of cultures from all over the world.
Security is present on Carey campuses at all times, and entrance to campus is only allowed with a valid university ID after hours.
The Student Success Center at WCU helps students prepare for their future careers through career assessments, résumé editing, tutoring, and other services. Our faculty and staff are also ready to connect you with professionals in your field to help you find opportunities.
