The William Carey University Alumni Association functions to serve the interests and help maintain the stature of William Carey University; to facilitate alumni programs and activities; to promote communication between William Carey University and its alumni; to perpetuate relationships formed at William Carey University and to build loyalty and support for William Carey University.

Membership in the alumni association shall be comprised of individuals who have satisfactorily completed at least 24 semester hours of course work at William Carey University, have been awarded an honorary degree from William Carey University, or have been elected to honorary membership by an affirmative vote of a simple majority of the Alumni Council.

Author, educator and 1994 William Carey University graduate Nathan Barber recently published a new book, What Teachers Can Learn from Sports Coaches: A Playbook of Instructional Strategies, a guide for teacher improvement based on wisdom of great coaches.
