The Health, Physical Education and Recreation undergrad degree aims to provide students with the knowledge necessary to educate others about comprehensive wellness for life. Through this program, students gain a clear understanding of procedures, methods, techniques, and materials for effective, competent teaching and coaching.

Hours

This degree requires 125 total credit hours, including 54 hours of Health, PE, and Recreation study.


Delivery Method

This program is fully online, and courses are delivered via Canvas; however, face-to-face options are available as well. They are designed to be flexible and convenient for working students.


Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements

Prospective students must:
Meet all undergraduate admissions requirements of the University
Complete an online application 
Submit official transcripts electronically from all institutions attended.


Career Outlooks

This concentration prepares students to pursue careers in fields related to teaching physical education and health in school systems through an accredited Alternate Route program, as recreational leaders in nursing homes and other similar facilities, and counselors/instructors in employment where fitness and health are of primary importance.
