The Master of Education in Mild and Moderate Disabilities 7-12 prepares educators to effectively and compassionately support children and youth in both elementary and high school settings through a comprehensive special education curriculum. This program is uniquely structured with 6 hours of directed electives, allowing students to pursue an additional endorsement in Gifted Studies or Severe/Profound Disabilities, or to prepare for the Foundations of Reading exam—expanding their licensure to K-12. Through this degree, graduates master specialized teaching techniques, broaden their expertise, and enhance their marketability, making them well-positioned for a range of educational career opportunities.
