The Master of Education in Gifted Education program prepares educators to identify and support intellectually gifted learners while fostering their social and emotional growth. By providing a strong foundation in the theories of gifted learning, the program integrates the latest research-based practices in curriculum development, innovative teaching strategies, and tailored identification methods. Students will also gain a deep appreciation for those with exceptional artistic and creative talents, ensuring they are well-equipped to excel in all aspects of gifted education.

Hours

The program is 30 hours and may be completed in as little as 12 months. Students may begin the program any term.


Delivery Method

William Carey uses Canvas as the learning management system, and the majority of the courses are fully online.  Two gifted courses are hybrid and offer valuable practicum experience with gifted learners during the fall and summer terms. This delivery method allows students to develop relationships with current and prospective teachers of the gifted and valuable hands-on experience with a variety of gifted learners.
