Admissions
William Carey offers a 4 + 3 program for students who hold a baccalaureate degree. Applicants must earn a bachelor's degree in major of their choice prior to admission into the professional DPT program. In addition, specific prerequisite courses include 2 semesters each of anatomy and physiology, chemistry, physics, and a semester of statistics. For further details, please contact the program.

Application
William Carey University's Physical Therapy Program will accept applications through PT Centralized Application Services(PTCAS). Applicants should submit all admission documents through PT CAS www.ptcas.org. Do not send any supporting documents directly to WCU. Access the PT CAS website to begin your application procedure. Application deadline is November 1.
Use the following checklist to assist you in this process:
- Create an application account at www.ptcas.org
- Print the instruction manual located under “Quick Links” found at www.ptcas.org
- Obtain student copies of your college transcripts to assist you in completing the coursework section for the application.
- Request official transcripts from each institution attended by using the transcript request form in PTCAS. http://www.ptcas.org/Transcripts/USTranscripts/
- Observation Hours Forms documenting at least 20 hours total of observation under a licensed physical therapist in two distinctly different practice settings
The PTCAS organization will verify your application for accuracy, calculate your GPA and send your materials to the Doctor of Physical Therapy admissions department at William Carey University.
Applicant Interviews
Currently, William Carey University DPT program does not plan to interview applicants to the program. Please visit the website often to register for applicant information session(s) coming your way soon.
Expenses
Students should be prepared for extra expenses associated with professional studies including background checks, medical screenings (including drug testing) books, local travel to and from clinical facilities, and out-of-town travel and living expenses associated with clinical internships. Each student is required to have a laptop computer or tablet.
Tuition and Fees
The tuition for the William Carey University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program has been set at $33,000.00 per academic year. A nonrefundable seat fee of $1500.00 is due within 15 days of acceptance into the program. The seat fee will be credited toward tuition upon enrollment in the WCU DPT program. This tuition includes all lab fees, technology fees and professional liability insurance.
Financial Aid
