Kelly Joins WCU Staff

Hattiesburg, Miss., November 14, 2013 - Ryan Kelly of Hattiesburg recently joined the William Carey University staff as chief advancement officer for the Hattiesburg campus.

Kelly formerly served as director of external relations for the College of Health at The University of Southern Mississippi, and since 2011, has served as executive director of the Mississippi Rural Health Association. Other positions at USM include manager of constituent relations for the Southern Miss Alumni Association and instructor of biology. He also served as administrative pastor at Mt. Salus Presbyterian Church.

Kelly obtained a B.S. in biology from USM in 2005 and a M.S. from Mississippi College in medical biology in 2007. As a senior, he was inducted into the USM Student Hall of Fame. He is a chair for the Mississippi Health Summit steering committee, a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Mississippi Economic Council’s Blueprint Mississippi Committee, and on the advisory board for The Children’s Center for Communication and Development. Kelly has also had numerous news articles and journal articles published, and served as a presenter for various sessions and forums.
