You’re invited to 2nd Annual Carey Carnival!
William Carey University invites the community to the 2nd Annual Carey Carnival on Friday, Oct. 17. The fall festivities will be open at WCU’s Hattiesburg campus from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This year, the carnival is part of Carey Homecoming and there’s no admission charge. Fair rides and games are free. Fair-goers are also invited to a “Night of Worship” concert led by Carey students at Thomas Fine Arts Auditorium starting at 7:30 p.m.
Activities at the Carey Carnival
- Enjoy fair rides like the carousel, mechanical bull, ninja tower, and super slide – plus bouncy houses for younger children.
- Choose a balloon animal or get your face painted.
- Take a photo with a 130-foot mural honoring William Carey.
- Shop at the Makers Market, featuring creations by William Carey faculty, staff, and alumni.
- Grab food from trucks or Wilkes Dining Hall (available for purchase).
“Last year’s Carey Carnival exceeded all expectations. Thousands of neighbors, alumni, students, and families filled campus and created the kind of joyful, Christ-centered community we cherish,” said Karen Golson, director of advancement.
“We’re thrilled to bring it back even bigger this year and can’t wait to welcome everyone for an evening of rides, music, and memories.”
