Dr. Tommy King receives Hattiesburg leadership award
Dr. Tommy King, president of William Carey University, is the recipient of Downtown Hattiesburg Association’s 2020 Leadership Award. The award was presented Jan. 23 during the association’s annual meeting at the Historic Train Depot. It honors “visionary leadership” over the previous year.
“I am honored to receive this recognition. For more than 100 years, William Carey has been a part of historic Hattiesburg and we are committed to the revitalization of downtown,” King said.
Other awards were presented for promotion of the arts, business leadership, downtown innovation, and Main Street Hero.
