Omicron Delta Kappa inducts 14 new members
William Carey University’s Omicron Delta Kappa Society inducted 14 new members on April 27. This national honor society recognizes leadership in five areas: scholarship; athletics; campus or community service, social and religious activities and campus government; journalism speech and mass media; and creative and performing arts.
"To be selected, students must excel in the classroom, but Omicron Delta Kappa's missions and values emphasize much more than simply academic excellence, which distinguishes ODK from other honor societies," said faculty advisor Dr. Jay Richardson.
“Those of us who are members of ODK value its high ideals and purposes as we strive to provide leadership in worthy undertakings and to be of service to others. We believe in the tenets of this society and those principles for which it stands.”
Students inducted were: first row from left, Mary Gautreaux of Baton Rouge, Alexandra Green of Brandon, Neetu Regmi of Nepal, Amy Pouncey of Mobile, Ala., and Katie Woods of Pensacola, Fla.
