William Carey University’s newest musical ensemble, Evidence, placed fifth in its category at the Winter Guard International World Championship April 22 in Dayton, Ohio. The annual three-day competition showcases performances by more than 600 color guard, percussion and winds groups.
“Evidence utilizes wind, percussion, and visual elements to create a multi-layered artistic experience for audiences within a competitive structure. This achievement came in Evidence’s first year of existence, which makes it even more special,” said Jeremy Morgan, assistant professor of music at the Winters School of Music and Ministry Studies.
