COM professors deliver Christmas surprise

Drs. Rance and Elizabeth McClain surprised William Carey University administrators with a special gift on Dec. 22. The McClains are both professors in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at WCU. They presented each administrator with ink pens made from wood from an oak beam in the old Tatum Court, which was demolished following the Jan. 21 tornado.
Pens and pen holders were presented to WCU President Tommy King; Dr. Scott Hummel, executive vice president and provost; Dr. Garry Breland, vice president for academic affairs; Dr. James Turner, COM dean; Valerie Bridgeforth, vice president for student support; Dr. Lynne Houston, associate vice president for university enhancement; Bob Blevins, director of facilities, grounds and maintenance; and Grant Guthrie, chief financial officer and vice president for financial affairs.
