WCU Offers Dyslexia Therapy Degree
Hattiesburg, Miss., January 10, 2014 - William Carey University's School of Education offers a Master of Education degree in Dyslexia Therapy. WCU is currently taking applications for the 2014 cohort of students, Cohort II, which will be limited to 25 students. The new class will begin instruction in July, and there are state scholarships available for this program.
WCU recognized their inaugural Dyslexia Therapy graduate cohort with a Red Coat Ceremony on October 5, and the students, who began courses in the summer 2013, are now in the internship phase of the program. The 23 students, representing public and private schools statewide, are currently working with dyslexic students in a supervised clinical internship program that will continue until the completion of the two-year program. WCU will graduate the first cohort in May 2015.
