Global Health Care Consultant Speaks at WCU
Hattiesburg, Miss., October 10, 2013 - Pictured are (left to right) Dr. Tim Glaze, director of Baptist Student Union (BSU) at William Carey University, Dr. Rebekah Naylor, global health care consultant for Baptist Global Response, and Shane Thrash, assistant director of BSU at WCU, before Dr. Naylor spoke at WCU's chapel service on October 9. Dr. Naylor, who served as a missionary to India through the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention for 37 years, was the featured guest speaker throughout BSU's Global Opportunities Week, which concluded with the Missions Banquet on October 10. Over the tenure of her missionary career in India, she used her M.D. degree and medical background to organize training programs in allied health disciplines, set up accredited residency training programs for doctors, and establish the Rebekah Ann Naylor School of Nursing.
