Suffrage & Art Gallery Talk and Coffee

William Carey University will host a Suffrage and Art Gallery Talk & Coffee on Friday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. at the Sarah Ellen Gillespie Museum of Art, Hattiesburg campus.
This event is part of the City of Hattiesburg's year-long celebration of the Women's Suffrage Movement and the 1920 passage of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote. WCU's Dr. Ed Ford and Dr. Rick Wilemon will give a visual presentation showcasing nine women artists from Mississippi whose works may have been influenced by the Suffrage Movement and the 19th Amendment. Free and open to the public.
