Kyle Dykes

Bio

Kyle Dykes teaches the trombone studio, commercial music theory, and jazz/blues improvisation; and he directs the Carey Big Band and Trombone ensembles.  He plays with the WCU faculty jazz quintet in local venues. Additionally He assists with the Lee University Jazz Camp in the summer and hosts the Carey Jazz Fest during the school year. Mr. Dykes has also performed with the Chattanooga Symphony, Meridian Symphony, and several other regional orchestras, bands, and jazz bands.

Kyle Dykes has a Bachelor’s of Music Education from William Carey University and a Master's of Trombone Performance from Lee University studying with Doug Warner.

In addition to his duties at William Carey, Mr. Dykes is a bi-vocational worship pastor for First Baptist Church of Brooklyn.
