Dr. Ladd Taylor

Dr. Ladd Taylor is Vice President for the Tradition Campus and Professor of Higher Education at William Carey University. He joined William Carey on July 1, 2025, after more than two decades of leadership at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

At MGCCC he held progressive roles including Vice President for the Perkinston Campus & George County Center; College Dean of Athletics; Chair of the Health, Physical Education & Recreation Department; Director of Admissions & Records; Supervisor of Student Activities/Student Center/Wellness Center; and Residence Hall Supervisor. Earlier in his career he was a Grants Administrator at The University of Southern Mississippi.

His professional recognition includes the Coast Young Professionals “Forever Young Award,” Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished College Administrator Award, MGCCC Difference Maker Award, and participation in leadership programs such as the AACC Commission for Student Success, AACC Future Presidents Institute, Leadership Gulf Coast, and the Mississippi Education Policy Fellowship Program.

Active in community service, Dr. Taylor serves on the Gulf Coast Community Foundation Stone County Community Endowment Advisory Committee and the Stone County Economic Development Partnership Board of Directors (past chairman), and is a charter member and past president of the Stone County Kiwanis Club.

Dr. Taylor and his wife, Robin, live in Wiggins, Mississippi, and are the parents of two daughters, RiAnne and Sayla.
