The educational leadership department prepares educators to become change agents in the field of education and in K-12 schools.
Students are lead through visionary planning, strategic utilization of resources, effective management and leadership, and practical application of research. The department consists of four programs: Master of Educational Leadership, Specialist in Educational Leadership, Specialist in Instructional Leadership, and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership. The Master and Specialist of Educational Leadership programs are hybrid and lead to an administrator’s license, which is a 486 endorsement. The Specialist in Instructional Leadership and Doctorate in Educational Leadership are 100% online and do not lead to an administrator’s license. In all programs, students move through the coursework in cohorts and take two classes at a time.
