The space where the Particular Baptist Chapel used to be on Agard Street.

The chapel was erected by Archer Ward in 1795. Later it was enlarged, windows added, and galleries fitted on three sides. In 1897 the site was purchased by the Great Northern Railway Company for £1,000 and a new church was built on Green Lane. The railway line was demolished in the 20th century and the site now lies vacant ready for an extension to St Alkmund's Way. The building on the right has survived and can be seen in the engraving below.
