My gracious Heavenly Father –
Today, we pause to offer You our thanks for the work that You do in our lives. We also thank you for William Carey College, an institution which constantly seeks to inspire its students to live lives dedicated completely to You. Lord, we praise You for being a God who can use anyone to accomplish great things for You. Your ability to take a humble servant like William Carey and use Him as a tool for Your purposes will never cease to amaze us. Remind us of our own specific calling to let Your plan reign in our lives.
Use this building to that end, Father. May it educate others of a man who daily struggled and daily surrendered to fulfill Your calling on his life. Lord, use this building to remind future generations that You are constantly moving, and that You desire to use every one of Your children to fulfill Your work. Heavenly Father, may people that come here seeking knowledge discover what is even greater – a stirring in their own hearts, a revelation of their potential in You, and a compassion for the lost.
May Your presence be in this place, Lord . . . may it be, in its own right, a place of worship foremost to Your glory, not man’s. Allow these walls to compel us to follow Your leading, even to the ends of the earth. I pray that all who enter here will walk out of the doors more passionately submitted to Your glorious plan for their life.
We surrender these walls, along with our lives, to Your glory . . . to Your will. It is in the name of Jesus’ powerful name that I do pray, Amen.
