Support th e Chapel Building
William Carey is currently the
only university in Mississippi,
whether public or private, two-
year or four year, without a chapel
building on campus. Dr. King hopes
to rectify this omission with the
construction of a small chapel on
campus.
The chapel will be built
adjacent to the Chain Garden,
and its presence will testify to
the Christian mission of William
Carey University. The chapel will
provide an intimate place of prayer,
devotion, and worship, as well as be
available for small weddings. The
sanctuary will hold about 150, so
weekly chapel services will continue
to be held in Smith Auditorium.
While over half of the needed
$600,000 has been raised, your
support is necessary to compl te
the chapel. Help make the chapel a
reality by sending a check to Office
for Advancement, Box 141, William
Carey University, 498 Tuscan
Avenue, Hattiesburg, MS 39401, or
to give online, visit
edu/givingtocarey.
Your gift can be given in honor
or memory of a loved one, mentor,
pastor, or faculty member.  Gifts of
all ranges make a difference.  For
example, $5,000 buys a stained
glass window, $2,500 buys a pew,
$1,000 buys foyer furniture, $250
buys a choir chair, $100 buys a
memorial brick, and $50 buys a pew
hymnal or Bible.
For information about naming
opportunities, contact Dr. Scott
Hummel at 601-318-6497 or
