WCUCOM Professors Participate in Physiology Understanding Week

Three professors from William Carey University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCUCOM) visited students in Anna Winstead’s fifth grade class at Oak Grove Upper Elementary on November 18 as part of American Physiological Society’s (APS) Physiology Understanding (PhUn) Week’s classroom outreach program. The APS PhUn Week was established to increase student awareness of physiology in their lives and aims to enhance student interest in physiology as a possible career. Dr. Jessica Taylor, assistant professor of physiology, Dr. John Bailey, professor of physiology and anatomy, and Dr. Johnny Porter, professor of physiology, engaged students in hands-on physiology activities and answered questions during the one-hour workshop.
