WCUCOM Hosts Hospital Day for Second-Year Medical Students

Hattiesburg, Miss., January 24, 2014 - The William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCUCOM) hosted COM Hospital Day on January 16 in the WCUCOM Academic and Asbury Administrative Center lobbies on the Hattiesburg campus. Representatives from 16 hospitals attended this event as well as students from the WCUCOM class of 2016. This event provided an opportunity for students to visit booths and discuss options regarding internships, placement for rotations, and future residencies.

Participating hospitals included Alabama Medical Education Consortium, Anderson Regional Medical Center, Biloxi Regional Medical Center, Cahaba Family Medicine Residency, Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg Clinic, Laurel Family Health Center, Magnolia Regional Health Center, Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, North Mississippi Medical Center, Pioneer Health Systems, Rush Health Systems, Singing River Health Systems, South Central Regional Medical Center, Terrebonne General Medical Center, and Wesley Medical Center.
