WCU Marketing Specialist Named to College Public Relations Board

Hattiesburg, MS, May 23, 2014 - Joshua Wilson, marketing specialist at William Carey University, was recently named to the 2014-2015 Board for the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) during the 2014 CPRAM conference held at the Bancorp South Arena in Tupelo May 19-20.

Wilson has held the marketing specialist position at WCU since 2013. Prior to becoming full-time at Carey, he served as a undergraduate student worker in the office of external relations and a graduate assistant in the offices of admissions. As an undergraduate student at WCU, he served as editor of The Cobbler student newspaper, which he now advises.

CPRAM is composed of public relations/public information/marketing professionals of two- and four-year colleges and universities, as well as those in state governmental educational agencies. The board is responsible for planning the annual conference and choosing a communications student each year to receive the CPRAM scholarships. Each year, one $500 scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student entering or enrolled in an accredited two-year institution of higher learning, and one $500 scholarship to an undergraduate student entering or enrolled in a four-year institution. Wilson was the recipient of the CPRAM scholarship as a Copiah Lincoln Community College student in 2008.
