WCU to Host Super Saturday

Hattiesburg, Miss., February 25, 2013 - The William Carey University office of admissions will host Super Saturday for new students, both incoming freshmen and transfers, on March 2, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Students who have been approved for admission are invited to attend. Super Saturday gives students and their parents a glimpse into university life and offers information on admissions, financial aid, housing and student life.
After sign-in, breakfast, and a welcoming session in Smith Auditorium, students can sign up for classes with their department advisors from 9:45 - noon. From 9:45-11:45 a.m., administrative offices will be open and available for students to ask questions regarding admissions, financial aid, and housing. From 10:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., there will be a student activities fair in Missions Plaza, allowing students to learn about ways to get involved on campus.
From 11 – 11:30 a.m., students will have an opportunity to sit in on classes to get a feel for the WCU classroom experience. Lunch will be served in Wilkes Dining Hall from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., and from 12:15 - 2 p.m., students will have another opportunity to meet with persons from admissions, financial aid, and housing, as well as an opportunity to tour the campus.
“The Office of Admissions looks forward to another great event,” said Brandon Dillon, assistant director of admission and student programs.
