WCU Holds International Food Fair

Hattiesburg, Miss., October 19, 2012 - William Carey University held its fourth annual International Food Fair on  October 11 in the Student Conference Center.  Booths were set up representing different countries, and each booth offered samples of food from that country. The booths were adorned in colorful decorations and flags from each country hung from the ceiling.
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Germany, India, Israel, Jordan, Nepal, Nigeria Peru, Russia, Spain, Thailand, and Zimbabwe were all represented by WCU students, faculty and staff members, some from those countries, dressed in the native dress to serve the food. There are currently 111 international students – 68 males and 43 females - from 38 different countries. Of those 111, 76 are returning students.
