WCU Holds Induction for English Honor Society

Hattiesburg, Miss., May 7, 2013 - Six William Carey University students were formally inducted into Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society on March 22 on WCU's Hattiesburg campus. Established in 1924 to confer distinction for high achievement in English language, literature, and writing. Sigma Tau Delta invites members to join based on academic excellence.

The 2013 Sigma Tau Delta inductees were Erin Ford of Collins, Erin Price of Columbia, Pam Shearer of Hattiesburg, Allison Shows of Hattiesburg, Ahrend Torrey of Lumberton and Kelsey Wells of Monticello. Faculty sponsor is Edison Williams, instructor of philosophy and language and literature, and co-sponsor is Dolores O'Mary, administrative assistant for language and literature.

A reception followed the ceremony.
