WCU College of Osteopathic Medicine Holds Hospital Fair

Hattiesburg, Miss., November 19, 2012 - William Carey University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCUCOM) hosted a hospital fair November 15 in the Student Conference Center of Wilkes Hall. Thirty-six representatives from 18 hospitals met with first and second-year WCUCOM students to discuss future internship and job opportunities. The fair  provided an opportunity for the medical students to learn more about the hospitals as they plan for their third year clinical rotations. All of the hospital representatives were from across the state of Mississippi except Christus St. Patrick Medical Group, located in Lake Charles, La., and North Okaloosa County Medical Center, located in Crestview, Fla.

Vital Source, the WCUCOM’s digital textbook provider, donated door prizes for the event, which included an Ipad, an Ipod Nano, a Visa gift card and several Best Buy gift cards. Participating hospitals donated gifts for door prizes, as well.
