WCU Cheerleader Ashlee Arnau Makes Headlines Again with Front-Flip Half-Court Shot

Hattiesburg, Miss., February 5, 2014 - Ashlee Arnau of Purvis, a junior nursing major and William Carey University cheerleader, made headlines again when she made the incredible front-flip half-court shot during the Crusaders Men's Basketball game against Martin Methodist College on January 30. Ashlee first made national and international headlines a year ago after making the shot during the February 21 men's basketball game.  She had been trying to make the shot at every home game since Christmas, and when she did, the video of it captured plenty of attention. Ashlee was flown to New York where she performed the trick live on the Today Show, and was also featured on numerous websites, including ESPN, USA Today, MSN, Fox News, and the Huffington Post. The Harlem Globetrotters also asked her to perform her trick as part of one of their shows, and other talk show hosts contacted her for Skype interviews.
