Storm damages campus
A possible tornado hit the William Carey University campus in Hattiesburg early Saturday morning.
Emergency personnel are on the scene to ensure students are safe. All dorm rooms and the Tuscan apartments have been searched and cleared. Some minor injuries have been reported.
There is widespread damage on campus including damage to dorms, Tatum Court, Thomas Hall and the library. Cars have been damaged; there are trees down on the roads and structure damage in the neighborhood around campus.

The Sentinel Training scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 21 has been cancelled.
