Wedgeworth and King Named NAIA All-Region XIII

HATTIESBURG, MS- Senior pitcher Devin King and Junior infielder Jill Wedgeworth have been named to the NAIA All-Region XIII as voted on by league coaches.

King, a native of Denham Springs, LA, was the anchor of the Carey pitching staff down the stretch. King is currently 10-4 on the season with a 1.06 ERA. King has worked 99 innings allowing just 15 earned runs, recording 50 strikeouts, and has recorded 4 shutouts.
Wedgeworth, a native of Petal, MS, is currently hitting .389 with 4 homeruns, 2 triples, 13 doubles, and 39 RBI’s.

This past week in the NAIA Region XIII tournament both King and Wedgeworth lived up to their All-Region Status.
King was 2-0 on the week; while Wedgeworth was absolutely on fire. Wedgeworth was 9 for 17 with two home runs, two doubles, and 9 RBI for the Lady Crusaders.
