The College of Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2019 hosted the annual memorial service to honor those who donated their bodies to medical science and for study in the college’s Ross Anatomy Wing. The memorial was held on April 29 at Bass Memorial Chapel on the Hattiesburg campus. During the service students from the class discussed the necessity of the practical study of anatomy and the selflessness of the donors. William Carey University presented Dr. Benjamin Waddle an award in recognition of nearly 50 years of service at WCU. The award was presented during the Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 9 at Southern Oaks House and Gardens. Dr. Waddle began his career at William Carey College in 1967 as the health and physical education department chair. He also served as athletic director from 1975-1983.
