William Carey University to Dedicate Phase II of Medical Complex
Hattiesburg, MS, August 5, 2010 - William Carey University will dedicate Phase II of the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) complex on August 26 at 10:30 a.m. on the Hattiesburg campus.
The state-of-the-art Medical Arts Building will house faculty offices as well as clinical diagnostic and treatment rooms. Eight student conference rooms are included as well as individual study areas and a student lounge.
The building is one of three comprising the $11.5 million medical complex. Phase I, the Academic Building, was dedicated on July 30 and Phase III, the Asbury Administration Center, will be completed in December.
The COM is the 26th in the nation. The inaugural class consists of 110 students from 13 states. Forty eight are from Mississippi.
The public is invited to the August 26 dedication ceremony with an Open House and tours to follow.
