Prepare for a Career in Higher Education Administration

The programs prepare future administrators to carry out the day-to-day management decisions that must be addressed by successful leaders in institutions of higher learning. Our programs in Higher Education Administration prepare college administrators in four areas:

  • administrative and legal issues,
  • financial and economics,
  • organization and administration, and
  • academic and student affairs.

The majority of the students in our programs are part-time students with full-time jobs in schools, colleges, and universities.

The School of Education designed the Higher Education Administration programs to build a new population of educational leaders for the community colleges and universities throughout the state, region, and nation. The vision of Higher Education Administration is to create change agents in the modern university who will design highly effective professional learning communities.
