Denice Burnett, a native of Mississippi, has been an educator and administrator for 28 years in various settings. She began her career in psychometry in 1990. She did assessments of children ages birth to 21 and served for many years as positive behavior specialist. Following this, she was an assistant special education director and a special education director of a large school district. Her professional interests include developmental delays, autism, and intellectual disabilities as well as ADHD. She has worked extensively with eligibility and IEP development. Currently, she is a consultant with Mississippi Department of Education, Special Education. Denice enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Ben, and their son, Lane She is also an avid shopper and enjoys painting.
