Rev. Dr. Dipankar Haldar has served as Associate Professor, Faculty of Theology in Serampore College (University) since 2004. He began his pastoral ministry in 1990, taught in Bishop’s College, Kolkata, 1994-1998, and served as the Chief Executive of Bible Society of India’s Calcutta Auxiliary during 1998-2004, after which he was invited to teach in Serampore College.
Dr. Haldar has written several books and articles, including his work with Bengali Hymnody and his editing of the Serampore College Hymn Book. Dr. Haldar's educational qualifications are: B.A., Scottish Church College; B.D., M.Th., D.Min., Serampore University; M.Phil., Pondicherry Central Government University; Diploma in Christian Communication, AICC-10, Thailand; and a Ph.D. [in process], Pondicherry Central Government University.
