Bachelor of Science - Elementary Education
The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education prepares students to use best practices to meet the needs of students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Teacher candidates learn to prepare lessons based on research based strategies and to meet the ever changing needs of the diverse society in which we live. Observation and teaching experience gained during the junior and senior years of the program provide real world experience on which to base instructional practices. The program provides training in current technology and techniques in effective classroom management to prepare teacher candidates with the tools to be successful in the K-6 classroom.
Concentrations
Along with the undergraduate degree, students are offered the following endorsements to enhance their teaching degrees: English (7-12), Reading (K-12), Science (7-12), Social Studies (7-12), Mathematics (7-12), and Mild/Moderate Disabilities (K-12).
