Nigel Boulton Head Coach
|
7.24.07 Summer Camp Fun
The campers were coached by Crusader head coaches Nigel Boulton (Men), Danny Owens (Women) and international coaches Mike O'Niell from Belfast, Northern Ireland and James Taylor from England. Also on hand was women's graduate assistant coach Courtnie Prather of San Antonio, Texas.
"The international flavor of the camp gives things more than just a soccer theme. There is the experience of learning about people from France and England, Ireland and my home country Wales" explained coach Boulton.
The campers all received a T-shirt to keep as a reminder of the week and their own soccer ball. Many used the balls as a way of getting autographs to remember the coaches by.
Cody's mom Renee thanked the university saying, "Flo (Florent) has been a fantastic coach. Thanks to you and to William Carey for reaching out to our kids".
For coach Flo it will be his last week of work at Carey. He finishes his graduate degree program with an MBA in August. He plans to return home to France for a short visit before returning to the US and moving to California where he has hopes of finding work. At a break from coaching duties today Sourice told our reporter, "Carey and Hattiesburg has been my home for five years, I have enjoyed every minute of it". Everyone at Carey wishes this former Mr. Carey, all the very best for the future. Florent Sourice with Cody Dye of Petal, MS
