BERESFORD TWO GOALS LIFTS #17 CAREY TO VICTORY

 Hattiesburg, MS-                William Carey Sophomore Aimi Beresford netted two goals to help the #17 Lady Crusaders remain perfect with a 3-0 victory over NCAA DII Christian Brothers University Saturday morning at the WCU Soccer Complex.

Carey dominated play on both ends of the field as the Carey offense was relentless; blasting out 19 shots on the contest and the defense was exceptional as they held the Lady Bucs to just 2 shots for the game.

As for the offense Beresford netted the only goal of the first half in the 18^th minute of play with a sensational shot to the right post. She struck again shortly into the second half by scoring off of a free kick to put Carey up 2-0. Linda Garcia capped off the scoring for the Lady Crusaders with a goal in the 79^th minute of play.

With the win Carey improves to 10-0 on the season.  The Carey defense has now gone 405 minutes of play with out allowing a goal. The last goal scored against the Lady Crusaders was on September 14^th. The shut out was Carey’s fourth straight and seventh for the season.
