8.16.07 Former Player Pays Flying Visit

Former Crusader Marius Wagner from Germany paid an unannounced and unexpected visit to the campus last Saturday and found coach Boulton working hard at his desk. "I couldn't have been more surprised when I looked up from my papers to see Marius standing there", said coach Boulton. The two took time out to chat and talk about old times. Wagner was in New Orleans on a stop over between flights and decided on the spur of the moment to drive up to Hattiesburg. "It was great seeing coach again after three years. While walking over the campus a lot of great experiences came back to my mind. This way I realized even more what a great time I had in Hattiesburg. Maybe I will get the opportunity to play one more game on the Carey soccer field in the future. I would love to come back for a game seeing all the guys again", said Wagner and he wished the team and coach Boulton a successful season. Boulton added thst Marius was surprised and impressed by the changes on campus and still follows the Crusader soccer team from his home in Germany.
