    What is SaderWatch

SaderWatch is the emergency notification text messaging system for the William Carey University. It is used by WCU as a way to instantly reach mobile devices when an urgent situation needs to be communicated.

    How do I register?

WCU students, faculty, and staff can register by loging in with your wmcarey.edu e-mail address and password, parents and others may use the form below the login box to create an account. After logging in, select the Join some groups link from the welcome box and select the groups from which you wish to recieve messages. Your registration information is private and will not be shared.

Does SaderWatch cost anything to use?

There is no cost for an individual who has registered for the alerts; however, your cell phone carrier might charge you to receive text messages, so please check your plan.

What type of alerts will I receive?

You will only receive emergency notifications and campus closings issued by WCU.

Will all cell phone carriers deliver SaderWatch messages?

Yes, WCU is using a service provider that works will all major cell phone providers. Text messages will be sent to your carrier for delivery to your phone. While it is extremely unlikely that you would not receive a SaderWatch message, signal strength and other issues with your carrier could impact delivery to your phone.

I don't use text messages. Can I receive SaderWatch by email?

Yes. When you sign up online you may choose the alert method that best suits your needs, including voice calls, text messages, and e-mail alerts.

What if I change my mobile carrier and receive service through another company?

Nothing. You will still receive alerts so long as you have the same phone number.

What happens if I change my phone number?

You will need to re-register so that you can resume receiving alerts.
