Smith Rouse Library and Sarah Gillespie Gallery

Future plans are to construct the new Sarah Gillespie Gallery as part of expansion and renovations of the Smith Rouse Library on the Hattiesburg campus. The SGG will house the largest collection of artwork by Mississippians in the state. Donated by Sarah Gillespie of Hattiesburg, the collection includes works by Theora Hamblet, Kate Freeman Clark, William Merritt Chase, Ethel Mohammad, and Walter Anderson.
