Dr. James Lee Valentine, D.O., Chair of Family Medicine and Associate Professor of Family Medicine

Dr. Valentine graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1975 with a BA in Biology and Psychology, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a Master’s Degree in Pathology. He completed his medical training at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1981. He completed his internship at Suncoast Hospital in Largo, Florida. Dr. Valentine has been in private practice since 1982 and has practiced in Meridian, Mississippi, since 1989.
Dr. Valentine has held numerous professional positions through the years, including President-Elect – Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association 2007-2009. He is currently serving as a Flight Surgeon with the 186th Air Refueling Wing of the Mississippi Air National Guard and is also an instrument rated private pilot.
