Johnny R Porter, PhD, Professor of Physiology

Dr. Johnny Porter received his PhD from Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1973.  Following graduation, he obtained a position as Assistant and Associate Professor teaching Physiology, Pharmacology, Medicine and Neuroscience at LSU Health Sciences. In 2001 he became a Full Professor and continued to teach his original classes through 2010. Dr. Porter also became an Adjunct Professor of Physiology at Tulane University from 2001-2010. Later in the year, Dr. Porter will join us at WCU-COM as a Professor of Physiology.
