
Louaine Spriggs, PhD, Professor of Anatomy
Dr. Louaine Spriggs received a PhD in Anatomy and Cell Biology at Tulane University in 1990. In 1991, she entered into a one year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmacology at Tulane Medical School. During this time, Dr. Spriggs’ was appointed to her first teaching assignment at Delgado Community College as Assistant Professor of Math and Science. She continued at Tulane University until 2001 with a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Physiology followed by a Research Assistant Professor position in Structural and Cellular Biology. In 2001, Dr. Spriggs moved to Louisiana State University Health Sciences to be the Associate Professor of Research, Cell Biology, and Anatomy. William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine was proud to employ Dr. Spriggs in 2010 as the new Professor of Anatomy.
In addition to her numerous teaching appointments, Dr. Spriggs also served as a member of the Center of Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Biology at the Louisiana State University Dental School from 2001 to 2007.
